Its ok to stop for a minute

     Yea time doesn't stop for you but you are still allowed to stop and smell the roses.Although the whole world can't stop for you, you can still take a second and stop your life to look at the beautiful things that have come from your life. Some times we try to numb our lives with activities and friends to the point where we don't take the time to just sit in the presence of God.      Our life will pass on by us if we dont look at the things that are right infront or us: like the salty smell of the beach, the breathtaking mountain view, the overwhelming feeling of the Lord's love, the calming sound of rain on your roof, the feeling or accomplishment, the excitment of doing something you never thought could happen, the realization that you are not alone, the guys in this world that are not just looking to hook up, the incredible sunset, the sky when it looks so surreal that it looks painted, the smell of freshly baked deserts, the warm and fuzzy feeling when someone calls you that you didn't even text, the taste of ice cold water after a hard workout, the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a race, or the realization that u have extra episodes of your favorite show recorded.

Being thankful for the underappreciated

When you are asked, What are you thankful for? We rarely answer with im thankful that "I got an F on my test" or "my dog died." We don't tend to think of these as things as things to be grateful for. We don't think about the lessons we have learned and how we have grown through these experiences but we really should. We should sit at that thanksgiving table and be thankful for how God has led us through these harder times to become the, hopefully, closer to and more like Jesus. So when you sit at the kitchen table with your family later think about the things you aren't often thankfuk for.

Our Flood

written March 23, 2020:In Genesis God noticed how wicked and cruel humanity became he took the one faithful man (and his family) and had him build an ark to save himself. He then sent a flood and killed almost all of life on earth but, one of each species. And that was how God hit the reset button on earth. God made a covenant and promised he would never kill all living things again (Genesis 9:8-11).
